Refund Policy

Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel any paid IP-Atlas subscription at any time from the Stripe billing portal. Open the dashboard and click "Open billing portal". On cancellation your Pro subscription remains active through the end of the paid annual period; your key continues to work until then.

After the period ends, your key is deactivated and subsequent requests return 401. You can restart service at any time by signing up again at the pricing page.

Subscription refund policy

Full refund within 7 days of initial purchase — no questions asked. Contact us from the address on your account with the subject "Refund request" and we will process it within 3 business days.

After day 7 the subscription is non-refundable. Cancellation stops auto-renewal at the next anniversary; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Overage and Pay-as-you-go charges

Pay-as-you-go charges are non-refundable once accrued — the data was served successfully. Use a spend cap if you're worried about runaway usage. If you believe you were billed incorrectly (e.g. usage counter bug, duplicate invoice), email support with the invoice number; we audit and refund demonstrable billing errors.

To limit overage exposure, use the spend cap on your dashboard or turn off Automatic Overage Billing.

Beyond 7 days on subscriptions

We do not offer pro-rata refunds for unused portions of an annual period after the 7-day window. Cancel before your next anniversary to stop future charges.

Exceptions

We will issue a full refund outside the 7-day window if:

  • A chargeable Service outage caused material disruption, and you request a credit or refund within 30 days of the incident;
  • Duplicate charges occurred due to a payment-processor error;
  • The Service was materially misrepresented at signup (contact us — we will work with you).

How refunds are issued

Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe. Credit-card refunds typically post within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

Merchant of record

IP-Atlas is a service operated by Trellis Digital Services LLC. Your card statement may show IPATLAS as the bank descriptor and your Stripe receipt is issued by Trellis Digital Services LLC as the merchant of record. Both refer to your IP-Atlas subscription — there is no separate or hidden vendor. If your card statement shows an unfamiliar charge from IPATLAS or TRELLIS DIGITAL, that is us.

Free tier

The Free tier is, by definition, free — there is nothing to refund on the base plan. If you incurred overage charges on a Free-tier card-on-file, the same rules as paid-tier overage apply.
